A Photonics Explorer: sponsorship campaign emerges in Finland!
To answer the demand for talented human resources and to inspire young students for studying STEM-related fields and especially photonics, the Finnish Photonics Flagship PREIN and Photonics Finland have started a Photonics Explorer Kit – sponsorship campaign.

Lucerna College Anderlecht discovered photonics on project day
The second degree of the Lucerna College in Anderlecht was immersed in science during the project day. They received workshops on photonics and AI during their visit to the Vrije Universiteit Brussel last Friday. A first introduction to the university and photonics for these youngsters!
Create your own workshops at Brussels Mini Maker Faire
B-Photonics will present the PHABLABS 4.0 workshops at the Brussels Mini Maker Faire on 6 and 7 December 2019. These are open source workshops in photonics that can be freely used by teachers, among others.

Photonics Explorer kits distributed in Spain.
The project “XuvenCiencia - Hago, luego aprendo” ("Xuvenciencia, I do, then
I learn") trains 70 teachers from 50 different schools in the use of
educational kits. Among them 15 Photonics Explorer were distributed.

The winners of the 'free Photonics Workshops Toolkit' are announced! 10 Fab Labs and 10 schools will soon receive the toolkit of their choice and will be able to test it with the correct target group.

EU PHOTONICS CHALLENGER CUP
The Photonics Challenger Cup is organised in 10 countries in Europe. The national winners compete to each other in the international competition and have a chance to win a trip to the biggest makerfaire in Europe!
